Winnie In Hong Kong | • Day 3-5 •

 Hello There Everyone!
Welcome back to my 5 Days Hong Kong Trip blog post and here's part 2, 'Day 3-5'!

If you have missed out part 1 'Day 1-2', click here to read it before reading this! ^_^
Don't forget to watch my Hong Kong Trip Day 1-5 Vlog at the end of this post!!
♥ Day 3 - Exploring Hong Kong/Shopping Day
Rise and Shine! ☀️
We didn't did much in Day 3, its more of exploring the cities of Hong Kong such as shopping, eating and visiting places.

We had breakfast at a noodle shop nearby our hotel.
My dad, my mum and I had the beef noodle and my sister had fishball noodle.

All of us shared a bowl of fishball soup too.

These glass bottles seriously reminds me so much of Indonesia, much misses!!

After breakfast we went a supermarket and got some things. Oh yes, Cream Soda is literally everywhere in Hong Kong. I don't know if this is a Hong Kong drink or do they have it in other country but i kinda regret that i did not try it out :( I think it taste like ice cream on top of a soda drink, right? Basically a soda float. Any Hong Kong readers? please tell me >_<

After that, we took the mini bus to a mall which leads us to a MTR station.

On the way, the mini bus drove passed a school and its always interesting to see schools from another country. Hong Kong schools reminds me of those Korean high schools where you'd see in dramas. They were wearing their "winter uniform" as it was the cold season. If you're a kpop fan, it also reminds me so much of Jackson from GOT7 because he's from Hong Kong!!

Finally, we arrived at the MTR station!
Getting our tickets.

We took the MTR to visit Wong Tai Sin temple which my dad's friend brought us to. We heard that it was one of Hong Kong's most famous temple so we went to checked it out and also at the same time accompanying my dad's friend's wife who is a buddhist to pray at the temple while we walked around since my family are Christians.

Arrived at  Wong Tai Sin temple!

I was told that if you touched this, you'l have good luck!

We only spent about 10-15 minutes there and went to take the MTR and head off to a mall for lunch.

Had our lunch in the mall.

With Auntie Sally! ^_^

Can't get enough of Hong Kong's Lor Mai Kai, its so goooood!!

After lunch, we all went shopping. What's a holiday without shopping right? ;) I literally had my crazy shopping mode on to the point where i didn't took many photos when i was shopping!! And the photos i took were all really ugly so i deleted them hahaha! But i did took videos for my vlog tho so see them in my vlog!

Finally dinner after shopping!
We had dinner at the same restaurant on our first day but a different menu ^_^
There were a lot more dishes but i was too busy eating to snap photos hahaha!!

Had a really scrumptious dinner. We went to 7 eleven to grab some snacks for the night before we head back to our hotel.
Couldn't resist it, i had to get my all time favourite korean banana milk!! I had my first try of the melon milk, it was nice! In Singapore, the easiest you could find are banana and strawberry flavoured ones so i was glad i found the melon flavour ^_^

♥ Day 4 - Ocean Park

Hooray, another new day that i was so looking forward to!! I've seen google pictures of Ocean Park before coming to Hong Kong and i was so excited because the rides there looked so fun!!

We had our breakfast at a really nice shop nearby our hotel. It caught my sister's attention as we were walking around looking for a place to eat. The shop sells a variety of breakfast food!

I had Ham, Eggs & Bread. Wanted to order this because the person sitting beside us had this and it looked so good because i love runny egg yolk so it was so tempting to get it! :P

My sister had Ham & Egg Sandwich while my mum and dad had noodles!

After breakfast, we finally went to Ocean Park!

These pair of shoes were literally my friend throughout my trip hahaha i wore them for 5 days because it pairs with everything! Love how the frilly socks matches with it too. Anyways, i didn't expect Ocean Park to be THAT COLD. Like seriously, it was so cold and i think its because Ocean Park is located at the mountain. Wished i had wore something warmer that day -_-

Saw cute kids on their learning journey at Ocean Park! HOW CUTE!!

Queuing up for tickets!

Buying our tickets!
So glad that my dad is fluent in Cantonese hahaha!

Our tickets! :D

The map of Ocean Park. Ok seriously, Ocean Park is so huge i didn't even had enough time to explore the whole entire place!

The first thing you'd see when you first enter Ocean Park so i obviously had to snap a picture because the background is so pretty hehe.
You have to take the escalator to go through the Aquarium before heading over to the theme park.

Inside the dark aquarium!

This was so interesting to me as it was my first time touching and seeing a hatched shark egg! It was so cool because I've never thought that a shark egg will look like that hahaha! When i touched it (you can see it in my vlog) it was really smooth and slippery hahahaha!
Here's a bunch of photos i took at the Aquarium!
Another fascinating thing, a spider crab!
I didn't took quite a lot of photos as most of them were dark and blur because some of the sea creatures were moving and it was hard to capture a good image. Hence, the photo below is kinda blur hahaha sorry!

It was so cool looking at these beautiful sea creatures that I've never seen or even heard before! Had a good time in there.

We came out of the aquarium which leads us to a souvenir shop and i saw these really cute dolphin soft toys which reminded me of Haru (Epik High Tablo's daughter) who used to starred in the show 'The Return Of Superman'! If you're a kpop fan you would've probably thought the same thing as i did hahaha!

We went to see pandas after that!
I was so looking forward to seeing cute pandas but.......
the pandas didn't want to come out :( -cries a river-

We could only see them through the CCTV screen :(

I was shocked by the age of the pandas tho hahaha!

But nevertheless, we saw a monkey!

After that, we were still a little confused because we still have not seen any theme park rides and saw people queuing up for the tram that leads you to another area of Ocean Park. So we follow the crowd and queued thinking that it was a submarine ride that goes underwater all along. (i'm laughing at myself at the moment)

Oh my, and then we were out at another station and we're like, "What....?! This is a tram ride?!" And before that my mum was like, "Omg ok its going underwater soon!!" when it gets darker but we're actually just in the underground tunnel. It was so funny we kept laughing non-stop hahahaha!!

Reaching that station, we finally saw rides!! We were at Polar Adventure and this ride was the first one that caught my eyes but i wasn't able to try it because the queue was insane!

Our first ride was the 'Arctic Blast'! Its a really fast rollercoaster ride!
(lmao at that person looking into my camera hahahaha)

It was so  fun!!!! If any of you ever come here you should seriously try this ride!! It was so fast that my mouth was freezing cold because of the cold weather as i was shouting throughout the ride hahaha super fun!!

So after that we were just wandering around looking for other rides and this ride straight up caught my attention, the 'Hair Raiser' that goes upside down at a really high level and speed. I will never say a yes to that ride hahahahaha!! Like wow, bravo to those brave people who rode that!

Then, we saw these game zones that my sister and Marilyn wanted to play but ended up not. Hahahaha so we watched some other kids play the games and some even won cute soft toys as a prize!

As we wandered around we were a little hungry so we had a little break. My mum called our names from afar, i was so hungry i literally ran towards her after i saw her carrying a tray of wedges and onion rings, yum!!!!

Next ride was the 'The Rapids' where i called my dad and mum to join us along! This was a water ride that will make our clothes wet but the poncho sold there was so expensive so we didn't have a choice but to go without a poncho which most people actually did hahahaha.

This was another fun ride! Other people were spraying water at us with the water guns above us and our clothes were so wet, almost soaked! With the cold weather temperature, i was literally shivering non-stop hahaha!!

We wanted to try other rides on the other side of Ocean Park so we went off following the map despite us freezing cold hahaha!

We arrived at Adventure Land and saw this ride, 'Wild West Mine Train' which is so high up. It looked so scary, not only because of the height but also because it was located near the sea, another ride i will never say a yes to hahahaha!!

This was one of the rides i wanted to try the most, the 'Raging River'.

There's this really long slippery slide that goes down splashing at a high speed. Really fun!!

I rode it only with my sister because Marilyn was too scared but....

As i told her it wasn't that bad and it was really fun she finally dared herself to try it so i went for the ride for the second time together with Marilyn as well as my sister! ^_^

It was kinda scary as it goes upwards but at the same time so fun!

And then there's me over there taking the photo above. Hahahaha feels like a 'behind the scenes' kinda thing yeah?

Us posing for a photo!

Was so sad we couldn't go for any more rides as it was getting dark :(
As we walked back, we saw a really beautiful scenery!

Had to stop to snap a picture, hahaha!

Look at that beautiful sunset!!

We also saw sea lions along the way. They're seriously one of the smartest animals!

Mirror selfie in the toilet before we go off hahaha!

Then, we left Ocean Park back to the entrance where the water fountain thingy lights up at night, how beautiful! It lights up into different colours. Ahhh ocean park was so much fun!! :(

We left for dinner!

♥ Day 5 - Back To Sunny Sinapore!

Sadly, it was our last day in Hong Kong and we didn't really did much on that day.
Just more shopping and eating like typical tourists would do hahahaha!

Started off the day eating food that my dad bought in our hotel room hahaha and then we went off for a little bit of shopping at a mall near our hotel. Just basically exploring the morning streets of Hong Kong with people buying groceries and seeing students walking to school.

Went into a store that caught my eyes, the clothes and shoes sold there were literally so kpop style-ish. Everything there felt like it belonged to those kpop fashion designers, it was so cool!

Also went to shop for snacks to bring back to Singapore and to also eat them on the plane hahahaha!!
Omg y'all, those Takoyaki flavoured chips are so good!!!! They come in a pack of chips along with the takoyaki seasoning where you add to the potato chips, seal the packet and then shake it. I think you can find it in Singapore because my mum got them (had to look for it here, was so yummy!!) but i think its also not easy to find it here. It may or may not for some of you but i'm pretty sure you could get them somewhere!

The moment i saw Arizona tea i literally went insane!! Maybe not for some of you but for me i went crazy as it is something you really could hardly find in Singapore so i obviously had to get them. Bought it back to Singapore and so many people straight up asked me where i got it hahaha!

I got this flavour, Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey! It was my first try of Arizona Tea and i would say it isn't that bad but honestly its also not what i expected it to taste like tho hahaha. But oh well, the bottle is so pretty i couldn't resist not getting it hahahahaha!!

Like come on, it was only for like SGD $2?!?! A big bottle for only $2 is really wow. I only calculated that it was only $2 when i went back to Singapore, if i had knew it earlier i would've gotten more bottles of other flavours :( Especially this blueberry one because it sounded way more delicious than the ginseng and honey one tho. Or maybe i'm wrong but i would like to try it someday!

After those shopping, we went back to our hotel to check out before we leave for our flight.
Left the hotel with heavy heart. I was so sad because the stay at the hotel was fantastic, totally missing the bed hahahaha!!

After checking out of the hotel, we went off to the airport. Such an awesome thing because the whole airport has free wifi hahaha i was a happy girl at that moment.

We had our early dinner at this restaurant called 'Macao Harbour' at the airport as we didn't had our lunch.

There were two soups. Super love the clam chowder, yum!!
After dinner we took the train to another terminal for our flight. Our flight was at night.

My ticket ^_^

Getting ready to go :(
Reached the terminal and we had to take the airport bus kinda thing that brings us over to the plane to board it.

I quickly snap a picture before i board the plane, hahaha!!

It was such an experience as I've never in my life sat at the last row of the plane before. Whenever i travel i'm always sitting at the middle section. But the advantage is that i get to go to the toilet faster as its super near hahahaha.

Not my first time taking a night flight but i super love night flights because as the lights in the plane are almost entirely turned off , it was a little dark but yet so cosy and for some reason the air-conditioner feels cooler than day flights. Is it just me or....? HAHAHAHA!

And omg guys, i was so happy because i got to watch fireworks from disneyland on the plane!!!! I could see disneyland from above and the fireworks was incredible. So beautiful to watch it from above because i couldn't get to watch fireworks when i was at Disneyland in Day 2 but i'm glad that i finally did hehe! (anyways the fireworks aren't in the photo below hahaha)

Munching on some snacks i bought during the day. I spent my estimated 4 hour flight watching A Pink Weekly Idol & Running Man at that time hahahaha. As I've already mentioned earlier, this takoyaki flavoured chips are sooooo good!!!

Also ate jagabee, super love this!!!!

And also some marshmallows hahahaha i kept eating non-stop. All the flavours of the marshmallows were so good my favourite ones are literally all of the flavours, i'm not even joking. The flavours were grapes, strawberry, apple, chocolate and pudding.  I think i forgot to include the pudding flavour in the photo haha!

Apple flavour ^_^

And ta-dahhhh, we're back in Singapore! Happy but at the same time sad that I've left Hong Kong :(

And that concludes my 5 Days trip to Hong Kong! Here's a vlog that i did during the 5 Days of my trip:

♡ Cake Balls | Valentine's Day Treat / Gift Idea ft. Cluttered Rack♡

 Hello There Everyone!
Valentine's Day is around the corner. Who says you need a boyfriend/girlfriend for Valentine's Day? Hahaha oh come on, its a day where you show how much you love somebody like your friends or even your family! So here i am today to show you how you can make Cake Balls for Valentine's Day! ^_^ It is really easy and it can also be a nice gift for someone you love!

It was initially a cake pop recipe but i couldn't find lollipop sticks nearby so i decided to change it to cake balls instead. It is exactly the same except using lollipop sticks for cake pops, you use cupcake liners instead for cake balls. And also, i did a small batch of this only for this blog post therefore its the reason why i used small portions of ingredients.

SOOOOO LETS GET STARTED!

♥ Ingredients/Things you will need:
♥ Cake of any flavour you'd like, that have been baked according to a cake mix/boxed cake or from scratch.
♥ Any flavour of frosting of your choice either from scratch or store bought.
              ♥ White chocolate bars/candy melts/candy wafers
              ♥ Red food colouring
              ♥ Cupcake liners
♥ Sprinkles or anything you'd like to use for decoration
              ♥ A big mixing bowl
♥ Toothpicks ( not in the photo because i forgot about it :P )

  STEP 1:
Crumble up the cake into fine crumbs. I personally think using your hands is really the best way.

By fine crumbs, it should look like this.

  STEP 2:
Add the frosting into the crumbs a little add a time.

Once again, best way is using your hands ^_^ But of course, don't forget to wash your nails thoroughly and cut your fingernails if you need to!

By adding the frosting a little at a time, you should reach the right consistency that can hold a a big ball shape.

  STEP 3:
Roll out the cake mixture into balls.
After rolling out all of the cake balls, store them in the freezer for about an hour for it to firm.

 STEP 4:
While its in the fridge to firm, start melting your white chocolate. You can use candy melts/candy wafers instead but if you don't have them, white chocolate will do the trick too. If you are using white chocolate, break it into small bars for it to melt easily.

Depending on your microwave, melt the chocolate using a microwave safe bowl in the microwave for about 30 seconds, stirring between each interval. Add vegetable shortening or vegetable oil little by little to adjust the texture. It should should be a little runny.

 STEP 5:
Take out the cake balls that have been sitting in the fridge. Insert toothpick to every cake ball.
The photo below showed some heart-shaped ones which i reshaped after taking photo of it in the earlier steps but you can do heart-shaped ones if you would like to! But bear in mind it cannot be placed into the cupcake liners so i suggest getting lollipop sticks and making it into cake pops instead! ^_^

 STEP 6:
Dip your cake balls into the white chocolate . Use a long cup to submerge the cake balls fully into the white chocolate to get it all coated. If you would like to, you can dye the white chocolate with red food colouring to make it pink for valentine's day. After dipping them, remove the toothpicks. When dipping the cake balls, let the excess drip off . I would've actually preferred to place it straight onto the cupcake liners after dipping because i think it would be hard to remove them from the plate once it has been harden, especially if you are not using wax paper.

 STEP 7:
Add sprinkles and decoration to the cake balls. You can also even drizzle some chocolate on top. After that, leave it in the fridge to harden and set for hours. For as long as possible or even overnight is the best.

 STEP 8:
After its been out of the fridge for hours, remove it from the plate and place it onto the cupcake liners. Its quite difficult removing the cake balls from the plate as it might break (like it did for mine) that was why i suggested placing it straight onto the cupcake liners after dipping them in the chocolate.

 STEP 9:
This step is optional but if you would like to give it to someone as a gift, place them into nice cute bags!

This is how it looks like when you bite into it.

And there you go, how to make cake balls!

Pretty easy right? This is the first time I've made this so if i could do it, you can too! ^_^

Do tell me or show me a picture of your cake balls on my social medias/email if you've made it, i'd be so happy to see it!!

Anyways, this is collaboration with my friend Bridgitt from Cluttered Rack so click here to head down to her blog and check out her blog post where she will show you how you can make some cute valentine's day treats! ^_^

Habitat Coffee

 Hello There Everyone!
I went out last few weeks with my close friend, Bridgitt! I'll be separating my blog posts into two parts of the day and part 1 will be this, whereas part 2 will be about what i did that entire day at S.E.A Aquarium along with a vlog so keep a lookout for that! :D

We went to to Habitat Coffee café to have our brunch.

The café was fully crowded so we sat outside but it was fine as we actually wanted to sit outside at the very first place to take good lighting photos of the food HAHAHA!!

Everything on their menu sounds so delicious i had a hard time choosing what i want >_<

I chose Eggs Benedict as i have never tried it before. Coincidentally Bridgitt wants Eggs Benedict too so we ordered the same thing. But that's not all, we also ordered Hello Truffle fries and shared it ^_^
Eggs Benedict
[ Poached eggs & honey glazed ham on sundried tomato bread topped with homemade hollandaise sauce ]

The eggs benedict was really nice. Super in love with the salad by the side. The salad dressing is nice and sweet, extremely love it! The eggs are well cooked and the holladaise sauce is nice. But i think the sun dried tomato bread are a little bit too salty for my liking but overall it isn't that bad as you eat it along with the poached egg together with the hollandaise sauce :-)

Best part for me was the yolk!! Who else loves runny egg yolk? I extremely love it!!

 Hello Truffle
[ Truffle fries dressed with fine grated parmesan ]
Out of everything my favourite has to be the hello truffle fries!! So crispy and love the added grated parmesan. Love it when my fries are cripsy on the outside and really soft in the inside and that turned out the way i liked it ^_^ Really recommend you to try this out if you drop by!

Overall the food is nice and i would love to go back to try other food! ^_^
